Our fantastic hosting company, Mythic Beasts, spotted that Libreture was being aggressively scraped by Tencent and Bytedance's scraper - possibly for AI training.

After blocking the scrapers the site is running normally again.

I'm looking into adding more entries to the blocklist to stop LLM thieving machines from accessing the site.

Just a reminder that it's *impossible for any ebooks to be scraped*, they're stored safely and inaccessible to anyone other than the owners. Info about the books is accessible in public libraries though - which is public information, but still not for scraping.
